Image: Sam Boal/ Short URL GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN have seized a large quantity of cash, believed to be linked to ongoing investigations into the Kinahan gang’s operations.The sum – believed to be in the region of €350,000 – was seized in the Walkinstown area.Three men in their 40s were arrested after a number of searches of people and vehicles in the Dublin 12 suburb. They are being detained at Crumlin and Ronanstown garda stations.The full amount of money will be confirmed by “forensic examination”.Gardaí said in a statement that the arrests come following “investigations and intelligence-led targeting of serious criminal activity” from the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, and the Special Crime Task Force.It is understood that the arrests are linked to the Kinahan crime gang.A number of follow-up searches were conducted in the Crumlin and south Dublin areas with additional smaller amounts of cash and other cash counting paraphernalia seized.Last month, €300,000 in cash was seized by gardaí as part of their crackdown on warring gangs in the capital.A planned search was carried out at an address in the Sandyford area on 4 May. Cash in excess of €300,000 was discovered and seized along with cash counting and packaging equipment.Two men were arrested following the Sandyford raid. It is understood these two men are connected to the Kinahan crime gang.
