Comments are closed. Female managers are more able than their male counterparts and their skillsadvantage increases with age, research reveals. In a study of more than 400 managers conducted for the East MidlandsDevelopment Agency, women scored ahead of men in all six core managementskills. Managers were graded on managing people, personal effectiveness, leadership,team working, communication and planning. It was based on a questionnaire by training company Exponential, which askedthree colleagues and the managers themselves to rate their performance. Exponential MD John Moore, said: “Female managers consistently scoredhigher than males in each core management skill and this became more noticeablefor managers over 39 years old.
