Skipper Leon Johnson has been making starts but his star-studded side have misfired on two occasions, making today’s encounter against Lower Corentyne at Bourda, a must-win match for the veteran side.Lower Corentyne will be more confident, having won by 7 wickets in round two and could take their momentum into the third round and against a hapless Demerara. The Berbice franchise almost bowled out Essequibo in round two thanks to their dangerous trio of bowlers in Gaurav Ramesh, Sylus Tyndall and Dimitri Cameron who all played huge roles.Meanwhile, East Bank who are desperately in need of a morale-boosting win against the Tagenarine Chanderpaul-led side West Demerara, will have their tussle at the Tuschen ground as both sides could seek to outdo the other as the tournament progresses.Weather permitting, matches will bowl off at 09:30hrs.
