Dublin’s Connolly could face 12 week ban

first_imgThe G-A-A’s Central Competitions Control Committee will meet tomorrow to review footage that could see Dublin forward Diarmuid Connolly receive a 12-week ban.St Vincent’s clubman Connolly put his hands on the shoulder of linesman Ciaran Branagan when disputing a sideline ball being awarded to Carlow in Dublin’s 0-19 to 0-7 win at O’Moore Park on Saturday.He was not punished for the incident but could be sanctioned under G-A-A Rule 5-point-3-2 which relates to a “minor physical infraction” with officials and carries a minimum 12-week suspension. Tipperary ‘keeper Evan Comerford was suspended for that offence last week.last_img
