Two Dodgers coaches have interviewed with other teams for different managerial openings.Bench coach Bob Geren has reportedly interviewed with the San Francisco Giants. Dave Roberts’ bench coach for each of his four seasons as manager, Geren had a 334-376 (.470) record in parts of five seasons (2007-11) as the Oakland A’s manager where he worked with Farhan Zaidi. The Dodgers’ former GM is now the Giants’ president of baseball operations and looking to replace Bruce Bochy as manager for the 2020 season.Houston Astros bench coach Joe Espada and former Phillies manager Gabe Kapler are also known to have interviewed for the Giants’ job.Meanwhile, Lombard reportedly interviewed with the Pittsburgh Pirates last week. An outfielder for parts of six big-league seasons, Lombard has been the Dodgers’ first-base coach for four seasons under Roberts.last_img
