117 people caught redhanded taking out domestic waste

first_img SharePrint 117 people were caught red-handed taking out domestic waste on wrong days or well before collection time by the Environment and Resources Authority.In a statement ERA said that largest amount of offenders were in Qawra and Buġibba, where 55 individuals were caught, followed by Marsascala were 26 individuals were caught.ERA officials do rounds around Malta and Gozo at least twice a week. Anyone caught red-handed is fined €150. The officials, which around 14 do the rounds both at day and at night. The rounds started as of last October, during which they spent the first three months educating the public rather than issuing fines.
